Become a Member
Hebrew Free Loan's Annual Membership Campaign provides vital income for the
agency that enables us to continue providing interest-free loans on a daily
basis to people facing urgent financial challenges. There are several giving
levels of membership, beginning at $54 per year.
Make a Tribute
Your tribute donation to Hebrew Free Loan will mark an important occasion
such as a birthday, anniversary or memorial, or offer a get well wish or
congratulations, while the donation helps others to help themselves. We'll
send notification of your contribution to the people you designate.
Join our Kavod Society
Unrestricted gifts of $10,000 or more provide critical ongoing support for
our agency. Kavod Society members commit to donating $10,000 or more each
year for the next three years. This provides us with a dependable source
of income for budgeting purposes. The generosity of donors at this level
makes a significant difference in enabling us to meet our objectives and
fulfill our mission to the community.
Create a Named Fund
Donors may create a fund named for them or a loved one with a gift of at
least $10,000. Donors and family members may add to these funds over time.
The following are the types of funds we support:
Unrestricted: An unrestricted fund provides maximum flexibility for
the agency to decide where the money can be used most effectively and where
it is most needed. It is a valuable tool which serves to respond to changing
community needs.
Donor Restricted: When creating a restricted fund, your charitable
contribution could be used to support programs in a specific loan category
-- for example, student, business or adoption.
Join our Legacy Society
Leave a legacy for generations to come by making a bequest to Hebrew Free
Loan through your estate or by making a gift of life insurance naming Hebrew
Free Loan as the sole or partial beneficiary.
Join our prestigious Legacy Society by notifying us of your intention to
include Hebrew Free Loan in your estate plans. Society members are honored
and appreciated in their lifetime for their dedication to the agency. Your
action will inspire others to consider HFLA when making their own estate
plans. We currently have more than 50 members in our Legacy Society.
Invest in our Future with a Planned Gift
To help ensure the future of Hebrew Free Loan, please consider these planned
giving options:
-
A life income gift: This trust arrangement allows you to transfer
assets to Hebrew Free Loan now, but continue to receive income from the cash,
stock or other property contribution.
-
A gift of securities: One of the most tax-advantageous ways of donating.
Appreciated stock allows for a fair market value tax deduction and bypasses
capital gains tax on the increased stock value.
-
A gift of real estate: An outright gift of real estate will help you
realize a deduction for the full fair market value of the property.
-
A donation to our Endowment: The purpose of our Endowment is to build
a permanent base of funds for our agency. The larger our corpus, the more
income we can put to use for operational needs now and in the future.
To discuss numerous planned giving options or to make a donation, please
call Ed Cushman or Cindy Rogoway at 415.546.9902.
