Hebrew Free Loan strives to make the process of obtaining a loan simple, but thorough. We are committed to supporting applicants in their quest to improve their lives, while implementing a responsible process to ensure the financial stability of the organization.

Listed below are the steps to apply for an HFLA interest-free loan...

1. Contact Hebrew Free Loan by phone (415.546.9902) or e-mail info@hflasf.org to request the loan application that best fits your situation. Or, click here to submit an Application Request Form.

   (Applicants must be Jewish residents of Northern California.)

2. Return your application to Hebrew Free Loan.

3. Meet with a Hebrew Free Loan staff member to review your application and request.

4. Complete loan forms including a promissory note outlining your legal commitment to repay the loan.

5. Obtain completed cosigner information forms or security agreements and the signature of your cosigner(s) on the promissory note.

   (Applicants will need 2 to 4 cosigners, depending on the amount of the loan. Cosigners must be Jewish residents of Northern California with a steady source of monthly income and a good credit record. In lieu of cosigners, security agreements can be arranged by family or friends regardless of where they live.)

6. Return completed papers to Hebrew Free Loan.
