Mike Getz is a member of the Beaumont City Council. He had been renting out his second home to a family when Hurricane Harvey hit, causing major damage that made the home uninhabitable. The family had nowhere to turn.
Mike had heard about Hebrew Free Loan through his synagogue. He took out an interest-free loan to cover home repairs. Within 6 weeks, the renters were able to return home, and move forward with their lives.
