Get help to cover your living expenses during the federal government shutdown. If you are a Jewish federal employee living in Northern California and you are affected by the furlough, our emergency bridge loans can help with the costs of housing, food, and other immediate needs.
Loan amounts will be based on your regular monthly salary. Repayment terms are flexible, and will not begin until the furlough ends and you are being paid again.
In recognition of the urgency of the situation, we will turn these loans around as quickly as possible — within a few days, if necessary. Please submit an application for a General Needs loan and indicate that you are a furloughed worker. One of our staff will contact you if more information is needed.
Feel free to call us at (415) 546-9902 x110 before you apply.
